All low bookcases include two adjustable shelves and a finished 1" thick top. All high bookcases include four adjustable shelves and a finished 3/4" thick top. Width and depth measurements are given at the crown for high bookcases and at the top for low bookcases. When bookcases are ordered in a painted finish, the inside and shelves are stained.
